Butterfly Breathing
Butterfly breathing is a calming exercise that combines deep breathing with gentle movement.
Steps:
1. Sit with your back straight and soles of your feet together, letting your knees drop to the sides.
2. Inhale deeply through your nose, raising your knees slightly and opening your arms wide.
3. Slowly exhale through your mouth, allowing your knees to fall back down, and embrace yourself.
Repeat this for several breaths(5-6 times), focusing on the rhythm of your breath and the movement of your knees.
Benefits:
- Calms the mind and body, helping to alleviate stress and anxiety.
- Promotes mindfulness by focusing on the breath and movement.
- Gently stretches the hips, increasing flexibility.
- Helps release tension and encourages relaxation.
