Day-21, Lockdown

Day-21, Lockdown

We all are well aware of the fact that today, was the day the lockdown was supposed to be ended, but most of us knew what was going to happen.
So, I wrote a poem to summarise what I wrote and how I felt in the past 21 days.

I laughed and I cried,
At times I even sighed,
I decided to give up,
Millions of thoughts,
Running through my mind.
I talked about confidence,
 It was an emotional ride.
I had so many dilemmas,
I was running out of time,
As the days got longer,
I felt more helpless,
I didn’t feel stronger,
But that’s my weakness.
Putting yourself down,
Isn’t the only choice.
I learnt more about my family,
How every situation,
We fought with poise.

Most often we create our own heartbreaks through expectation. There will be disappointments in life. It’s okay to feel sad, just never wallow for longer than necessary. A thousand disappointments in the past cannot equal the power of one positive action right now. After all disappointments aren’t meant to destroy one. They are meant to strengthen one.
